With the technological development of today, it's easier to understand the range of Jesus words: "the gospel of the kingdom will be preached to everyone (...)".

Never before in history, the church has a door so opened as in our days! If in a recent past, the opponents to the Gospel propagation managed to sabotage the Christian faith, actually all barriers have fell due to the scientific means in the area of communications. It's in the use of this faculty that we bring to you informations about the evangelical work developed by the Assembly of God in Porto, founded in this city over more that seventy (70!) years ago.

Our actions have been centered in two areas: spiritual e social.

In the spiritual area, the church is seeking the "Go" said by Jesus, by an evangelistic action developed in Porto Province, counting at this stage with 13 points where the Gospel is preached. In our missionary vision, the Porto Pentecostal Assembly of God has been expanding its action in more than 10 major cities (in 28 places of cult) in the North of Portugal, in the provinces of Alto-Minho, Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Beira Alta and Douro Litoral.

We can say, without false modesty, that a "cloud of witnesses", men and women of all social stages and whose lifes have been transformed and blesses by the power of God.

In the social area, the church has been doing a huge investment in the Drug Addict care; so, weekly, it's done an organized work and supported by a staff of people, whose goal is to pull young people from the drugs addition. This effort has been greatly rewarded with the restoration of degradated lifes and already reinserted in society, whose benefit have been extensive to the families.

Since a long time the church has realized that a Old Care Centre needed to be built to help the elder people. Since then, and after that Centre was a reality, many "believers" have found in the Church Old care Centre a refuge in the elderness. The results have been so wonderful that is being prepared and projected a plan for increasing and improving the actual installations.
